Big Brother Hometowns 8 is the eighth season of the Online Reality Game Big Brother Hometowns. It is based on the worldwide Big Brother franchise. Steven Moreland and Max Teddy served as co-hosts.
In the game, seventeen houseguests battled to win power and safety, while voting to evict their housemates until there were two houseguests remaining. The winner was decided by a vote of the jury, a group of 9 previously evicted houseguests. The 17-person cast was the largest in the show's history up to that point, as was the 9-person jury.
The season began on April 26, 2020, and concluded on May 17, 2020. After 22 days in the Big Brother house, Grey Price was declared the winner over Alex Day in a 5-4 vote.

On Day 0, before meeting the entire cast, the houseguests were randomly placed into 4 rooms. On Day 0, the only contact the houseguests had were with the other people in their room. Each room needed to nominate one member of their room to be their candidate for the first Head of Household. Room 1 nominated Shane, Room 2 nominated Nathan, Room 3 nominated Matt, and Room 4 nominated Darrell. Then, on Day 1, the entire cast entered the main house, and there was a house-wide vote to determine which of the four candidates would win the first HOH. In a unanimous vote, Matt won the first head of household.
Pendants of Life[]
Season 8 was the second Big Brother Hometowns season to introduce pendants of life, a currency that players could use to buy advantages in the game. Each player began the game with 1 pendant of life. Pendants could be acquired by competing in challenges, bartering with other houseguests, or receiving them from an evicted houseguest. When a houseguest was evicted, he/she was required to bequeath all pendants of life they had accumulated to one or more houseguests still in the game.
BBH Advantage Menu[]
The advantage menu allowed houseguests to purchase advantages with the pendants of life they had acquired throughout the game. Shane was the first to purchase an advantage, buying the veto redraw advantage, which was used on Day 6 redraw the players for the "Plank" veto competition. Quinn bought another veto redraw advantage on Day 13, and was selected to play in the "Balance the Money" veto competition after not initially being selected. Grey bought and used the Veto Takeover advantage on Day 18, cancelling the "Wheel of Fortune" veto competition that day and automatically giving himself the golden power of veto.
